Abstract

The objective of this study was to establish the correlation between anxiety and depression in times of the pandemic in people who live in the city of Chiclayo - Peru. For this study, a quantitative investigation of correlational scope and cross-section was carried out. In this non-experimental research, we worked with a sample of 619 people from the city of Chiclayo-Peru, the population was selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The data was collected through the Goldberg Anxiety and Depression scale, a sociodemographic characterization sheet was also used. The results show that anxiety is more prevalent than depression and more persistent in women than men. Taking into account age, young people and adolescents were more affected, taking into account economic and occupational conditions.
