Abstract

Introduction: One of every woman's desires is centered on the idea of becoming a mother. However, this can be a very unpleasant stage for the pregnant woman since the havoc and complications that she may have during her gestation period could cause serious injuries to the baby and threaten the mother's physical health.
Objective: To describe the actions of the nursing role and to know the process for improving humanized childbirth.
Methodology: A literature review was carried out with a qualitative approach.
Results: Humanized childbirth is key to understanding each of the women who go through the gestation process to become mothers; health personnel, both doctors and nurses, must fulfill their humanistic role to satisfy women in aspects such as their beliefs and needs.
Conclusions: The woman should be listened to, valued, and guided by the specialists because humanized childbirth is a good option to respect each party's rights.
