Introduction: Systemic lupus erythematosus affects mainly women, so it can also be remarkably exposed during pregnancy.
Objective: To conduct a literature review using PRISMA methodology on the variables that intervene in the planning and control of pregnancy in women with systemic lupus erythematosus.
Methods: A search was generated in the Web of Science, Scopus, ProQuest, and Pubmed databases between 2018 and 2022.
Results: 13 studies meeting the inclusion criteria were selected, in which the variables of planning, complications, and treatment were addressed.
Conclusions: Through the literature review, it was possible to determine the variables, in addition to the fact that it could be established that planning should be relevant to be considered by women with SLE for this to be successful, in addition to the fact that due to the different circumstances of the management, some complications may arise.
